Hello! I am Mrs. Julie Bechtel, formerly Mrs. Hauschildt. I attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education. When we moved to Neillsville I subbed at Neillsville Schools for two years, then was hired as a full time teacher in Neillsville. Currently I am the Middle School (grades 6-8) Art Teacher, and the High Potential Coordinator for the Gifted & Talented students in our district. In 2008, I married Mr. Bechtel. We are the parents of 4 grown daughters, & several grandkids.  In my spare time I enjoy making stained & fused glass projects with my husband in our home studio. Making jewelry, knitting, reading, baking and many other crafts are activities that keep me busy. Creativity is what I strive to promote in my life & my classes. It combines many ways of thinking & is useful in all aspects of life for problem solving, plus it makes life interesting! What I love about teaching Art is seeing the magical look on student's faces when they learn to do something new. I also love getting to know them well, as I have them in class for three years!
