Career and Technical Education (CTE)
General Overview:
The School District of Neillsville has a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) program available to all students in grades 7-12. CTE departments are as follows: Agriculture, Family and Consumer (FACE) and Technology (both a metals/automotive department and a woods/construction department.) All middle school students are given instruction in all areas though a quarter-long rotation program. All high school students have the option to take semester-long classes as desired. Other elective departments include art, music (both vocal and instrumental) and foreign language (Spanish.) Although not technically part of the CTE area, these electives provide valuable experiences that can help shape a student's career path. Art is part of the middle school CTE rotation at the 7th grade level; semester electives in art are available for students to take at the high school level. Music is a year-long elective option for all students in grades 6-12. Foreign language is part of the middle school CTE rotation at the 8th grade level; semester and year-long elective options at the high school level.
