*FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION NIGHT WILL BE AUGUST 29, 2017 AT 6PM IN THE HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA
Financial aid helps students and their families pay for college. This financial assistance covers educational expenses including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation. There are several types of financial aid, including grants and scholarships, work study and loans. Financial aid awards may include a combination of the various types of aid.
To be eligible for financial aid, students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) each school year. (This application is administered by the Federal Student Aid Office which is part of the Federal level Department of Education.) THE 2018 FAFSA APPLICATION BECOMES AVAILABLE OCT 1, 2017. Most colleges and universities have FAFSA completion priority dates between November 1-early March each year.
Neillsville High School holds a Financial Aid Information Night each year to provide an opportunity for students and parents to learn more about the FAFSA application process. Following this event, FAFSA Completion Help Sessions are scheduled to ensure students and parents are given additional support if needed to complete the FAFSA.
